Artist, Painter Alex Hamilton

This is an exhibition about discovery, adventure and our emotional attachment to earth. ROADTRIP explores the journey and it’s place in culture, through film, music and cars and the beauty of the extraordinary South African landscape. Using stencil pop art, maps and collage, the artist builds his own story of nostalgia, memory and the sense of emotional freedom that a good road trip, always provide.

The exhibition opens on Thursday 1 July in Cape Town at The Alex Hamilton Art Studio at 6pm will run until Friday, 30 July 2010.
It will then go on it's own road trip to Johannesburg to be exhibited at at Zietsies, No 1. Beverley Road, Aucklandpark from 13 August 2010 to 3 September 2010.
